Albert De Martin, conservative candidate for Salaberry-Suroît launched his campaign Saturday, August 15 with the participation of more than 100 supporters.
During his speech, Albert De Martin emphasized the conservative’s excellent work in the area of agriculture: “Thomas Mulcair has been presumptuous coming to Québec and criticizing our performance. In fact, the Conservative government has established, in consultation with farmers and the provinces, a risk-sharing partnership and a $3 million package to stimulate innovation, productivity and open up new markets for our Quebec products. This is not insignificant “, he stated.
He also noted that the Conservative party has worked hard to open up new markets for our agricultural products. “Under the Conservative government, the number of free-trade agreements has gone from 5 to 44” he added.
For Albert De Martin, the issue is obvious: “On October 19, voters in the region will have a choice between a proven economic plan of keeping taxes low for growth and job creation, and an irresponsible economic plan which proposes higher taxes in an unstable economic context. People in the agriculture sector know that the Conservative party recognizes their importance in the economy and will always be their allies”, he concluded.
