On Sunday, December 4th the Huntingdon County Farmer’s Market will host their annual Christmas Market at the Ormstown Rec Centre. Over 40 local artisans and producers will offer up their goods for locals to peruse—just in time for the holidays.
The event will feature a selection of gifts produced in the Valley, including gourmet baking, vegetables, wines, honey, preserves, clothing and accessories, decorations, maple syrup, apples, wooden toys and kitchen tools. The market, which will celebrate its 12th year come this summer, will open at 10:00 A.M. and close by 4:00 P.M.
Coordinator for the Huntingdon Farmer’s Market, Ian Ward, is excited about the event. “As a true farmer’s market, we feature only locally-made, grown and artisanal goods, so make sure to come by and fill up for the holidays while supporting the local economy.” In the true spirit of Christmas, Santa Claus will be on hand to hear holiday wishes, while Dewittville eatery Planète Terroir will keep visitors well fed with local fare.
