Once again this year, the traditional Festival du maïs de Saint-Anicet drew hundreds of people last weekend, in spite of a few setbacks from Mother Nature.
The various activities on the program presented from Thursday to Sunday were a great success under the excellent direction of the Saint-Anicet Optimist Club and partner organisations.
In particular, there was Saturday dinner under the big tent, where more than 700 chickens were prepared and served to the guests which included the 42 participants from the Traversée de la Grande baie.
Two brothers, Justin and Xavier Lauzon, finished first and second respectively in the mens’ category while Isabelle Deloncourt came first in the womens’ followed by Gabrielle Lauzon.
