Some fifty agri-food businesses appear in the brand new Guide Gourmand 2017 published by the Centre local de développement (CLD) du Haut-Saint-Laurent.
According to Audrey St-Aubin, Agent for the development and promotion of tourism at the CLD, this new Guide Gourmand is intended to be « a very useful tool for marketing local products by promoting them among restaurant owners, gourmet grocery stores, wholesalers, hotels and tourists in neighbouring metropolitan regions. »
The Guide is also a reference tool for the general population of the
Haut-Saint-Laurent. It is divided into various sectors of activity, from butcher shops and delis to breweries and vintners, including bakeries, producers of maple products, fruit and vegetables, apple products, blueberries, oil and coffee, as well as tables champêtres and gourmet destinations.
Each sector is colour coded for easy access.
This Guide accompanies a promotional video of the region that was officially launched for the CLD du Haut-Saint-Laurent at the Montreal Fall Home Expo. The Montreal Home Expo was held last October and for the second consecutive year, the Haut-Saint-Laurent was the featured region. The video was produced by Productions du 3 juin (P3J) a local production company.
