Here’s some event that might interest you.
Hazardous Household Waste Collection
The collection of hazardous household waste (HHW) as well as small electronic appliances and electronics for residents of the Haut-Saint-Laurent will take place between 8:30 am to 4 pm, over four Saturdays in four different municipalities this summer. HHW collection will begin on May 27th at the Ecocentre in Ormstown, on June 17th at the Franklin Municipal Garage, on August 12 at the Saint-Anicet Town Hall, and September 16 at 470 chemin de l’Eglise in Sainte-Barbe.
Only domestic HHW will be accepted. Agricultural, industrial and commercial waste will be refused. Permanent residents will be asked to provide their driver’s license as proof of residence while seasonal residents can bring their municipal tax account.
The following products and their containers should be taken to one of the collections instead of being thrown away: acids, fertilizers, batteries and batteries, used oils and filters, paints, pesticides, propane, antifreeze, maintenance and cleaning products, and pool chemicals. For more information, contact Émilie Escafit at: 450 264 5411, poste 225 or by email at: [email protected].
