The snowball effect of Wednesdays

According to Laurie-Ann Prévost, Chair of the Board of Directors, this one-of-a-kind farmers’ market in the Haut-Saint-Laurent has the wind in its sails. « Last Fall we felt that there was momentum behind the market. By popular request, we added four weeks to the season and the last market was very well attended in spite of the rain and cold. Then, the Winter Markets were packed and we realized there was genuine interest in buying locally, »  stated Prévost.

In addition, the Board of Directors is increasing efforts to develop a sense of belonging throughout the Haut-Saint-Laurent and is working on establishing a new image including a new logo, an enhanced web site and a most interesting program. The Market will also take part in the Ormstown Fair Parade and create partnerships with various similar organizations in the region.
