On Monday, February 13th, Chateauguay’s Centre de Santé dentaire Dr. Thu Nguyen began their second annual collaboration with Brossard’s Leucan Montérégie organization to raise funds to benefit children affected by pediatric cancer.

Concluding on Thursday, March 3rd, the clinic will donate $10 from every exam and cleaning to the non-profit association. “Those interested in giving a boost to the clinic in achieving its goal can make an appointment for an examination and cleaning,” stated a representative for the clinic.

A History

Founded in 19778, Leucan Montérégie is one of nine regional offices. Dedicated to helping children affected by cancer, Leucan offers assistance to families through the availability of necessary services through all stages of cancer. Associated with four pediatric oncology centres throughout the province (CHU Sainte-Justine, the Montreal Children’s Hospital, the Centre mère-enfant du CHUQ and the CHUS), the organization annually contributes close to $1,000,000 to clinical research—they also fund the Leucan Information Centre in Sainte-Justine.

Opened in 2007 by McGill graduate Dr. Nguyen, the dental clinic is located at 185 St-Jean-Baptiste, #300-C in Chateauguay. Specializing in orthodontics, the clinic is a favourite with local families. For more information, contact the clinic at 450-691-0711.
