The upcoming weekend of August 7-9 will see the Canada’s second oldest agricultural fair return to Huntingdon, QC.

A true country fair, the Huntingdon Fair will celebrate its 187th anniversary on the weekend of August 7-9. The agricultural fair will kick off in its traditional fashion with a parade, which will depart from the Heritage Elementary School, followed by the pig round-up, with live music being performed by local band 4-Banger.

Visitors can peruse the local flower show and agricultural exhibitions, observe the local horse, cattle and pet shows, and even sit in on an informative demonstration, such as a soil workshop. And if you’re still looking for a little excitement, fairgoers can observe the local firefighters cooling off with a monumental Waterball game on Sunday.

This year will also see the introduction of the midway, with ride fare being included in the entrance fee. From a petting zoo to Sunday’s demolition derby to the coveted tractor pull, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy. Planète Terroir will be serving breakfast and lunch in the dining hall on both Saturday and Sunday, which is sure to make for a gourmet treat.
