On April 18, 45 year old Yves Bourdeau will appear in court at the palais de justice in Valleyfield. The man from Saint-Chrysostome is facing a charge of impaired driving causing death.

The accused, who is being defended by Me Guy Lalonde claims that he was not the driver of the motorcycle in an accident that occurred on route 202 in Franklin on July 6, 2014. 31 year old Josée Soulière died as a result of her injuries in this accident.

The crown, represented by Me Nancy Lecompte, informed Judge Marie-Chantal Doucet that she planned to have nine witnesses testify at the next appearance. Yves Bourdeau has several previous charges for driving while impaired. The accused has been in jail since his arrest.
