Two public consultation meetings on the Plan de gestion des matières résiduelles (PGMR) – Residual Materials Management Policy – 2016-2020 proposed by the MRC are planned for the Haut-Saint-Laurent.

The first one will take place on May 12 at 7 p.m. in the Haut-Saint-Laurent MRC Regional Council Conference Room, at 10 rue King in Huntingdon, floor 4R. The second will take place on May 17 at 7 p.m. in the Très-Saint-Sacrement Municipal Council meeting room at 1180, route 203 in Très-Saint-Sacrement.

The Plan de gestion des matières résiduelles is a regional action plan that is usually renewed every five years and aims to divert some of our waste from landfills (food waste, green waste, recyclable material, reusable material, etc.).

All residents of the Haut-Saint-Laurent are invited to attend these presentations which will give them the opportunity to comment on the plan so that, if necessary, changes may be implemented before it is officially submitted.
